Michael Beard -
Michael Beard - Racers today are really concerned with the longevity of their engines - and with good reason. Engines are putting out more power than ever, and that's hard on parts. The number one thing I've heard racers talk about in terms of protecting their high-dollar investment in their engine is the zinc content of the oil they use. A lot of oils have been reducing the amount of zinc in their formula. Guys are having a hard time finding a quality oil that meets their demands, or else they are turning to additives. That's something I don't have to worry about with my program anymore since I found CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil. A lot of guys are looking for oil that meets a 1,500 PPM (part per million) spec, but CAM2 Blue Blood has that covered easily with their 2,000 PPM high-zinc formula. That puts my engine builder's mind at ease, and when he's happy, I'm happy. I use the 0w30 full synthetic in my 360 Magnum crate motor Volare, which is a consistent Top 10 qualifier in IHRA Stock Eliminator. The performance speaks for itself.
